Lorraine is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa; she has worked in the private and public sectors. Her industry experience includes project finance, infrastructure, transport, and technology & innovation. Prior to joining CIJ, she worked as Legal Counsel at the Gauteng Partnership Fund, Legal Advisor at the Technology Innovation Agency and Gautrain Management Agency, and as Deputy Director at the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Candidate Attorney at Adams & Adams, gaining experience in intellectual property and commercial law.

She holds an MBA degree from Warwick Business School (University of Warwick), Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws degrees from the University of Pretoria.
