Dalit has extensive experience advising governments, multilateral organisations, and private entities on sustainability policy, environmental governance, law reform, and ESG matters. Before joining CIJ, she worked at two of Africa's leading commercial law firms, specializing in natural resources law and ESG issues. Most recently, as an ESG Knowledge Lawyer at Webber Wentzel (in alliance with Linklaters), Dalit played a key role in developing the firm’s ESG strategy, delivering capacity-building programs, and advising on initiatives such as voluntary carbon credits and community engagement in mining projects.

She holds a Master of Laws from the University of Witwatersrand, with research on South Africa's just energy transition, and Bachelor degrees in law and economic history from the University of Cape Town.
