Tim Hanstad is the Vice Chairman of CIJ and of Chandler Foundation. He previously served as CEO of Chandler Foundation and before that co-founded and was the long-time CEO of Landesa, the world’s leading land-rights organisation. He launched Landesa’s programmes in China, the former Soviet Union, and India.

Tim has been recognised with a Skoll Social Entrepreneur Award and as a World Economic Forum Outstanding Social Entrepreneur. He holds two law degrees from the University of Washington and a bachelor’s degree from Seattle Pacific University.
