Ciku Kimeria is an author, journalist, communications and strategy specialist, and travel writer with extensive experience spanning Africa and beyond. She is a TED× speaker and a 2026 Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center Resident. She is an Opinion Columnist at Bloomberg and was previously the Quartz Africa Editor. She is the author of two novels and has written for African Arguments, OkayAfrica, and The Africa Report. She brings a wealth of communications and project management experience, having advised The Rockefeller Foundation, the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center, the Open Society Initiative of West Africa, and the Africa Agriculture and Trade Investment Fund. She previously served as Africa Communications Manager at Dalberg following a career in strategy consulting.

Ciku holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from MIT and is fluent in English, Swahili, and French.
